Film, video, cinematography… it’s all motion. Creating product video is a great way to augment your brand’s still photography, create eye-catching ads, show how your product works, or even to share your brand’s unique story. Every video and motion project here has been shot, created, and edited by me—from start to finish. I enjoy using sound design to enhance the visuals, so watch with the sound on if you can. Most of these projects are filmed in 4K, which gives flexibility for different uses and social media platforms. Based in Colorado—you can ship product to me, or shoot on-location.

Lauf Carbonara Fat Bike Fork // Product Video

Sometimes I just get inspired by an idea at totally random times. This video was the result of that! It was a fun challenge, and a good learning experience. On the upside, I figured out how to mount a motor overhead and attach the fork to it for rotation. On the downside, the fork springs were so stiff, that I could not get an acceptable shot of the fork compressing in the studio without actually riding it.

Pearl Izumi // X-Alp Shoe Reel

Showing off the craftsmanship and texture of the shoe materials was paramount. This project was shot in the studio using a motion control system to programmatically control the movement of the camera. This allowed for repeatable shots while the lighting, product placement, and angles were perfected to best show the shoe angles.

Wheels Mfg // Motion Sample

A demo project to experiment with lighting techniques and product motion, mixed with advanced sound design for a dramatic feel.

Niner Bikes // BTS: How We Create Bikes

This video series was filmed over several days as part of a branding exercise Niner was working through. The concept was to show a bit of the human side of the brand via riding together and the product development process.

Shot entirely in Moab to launch a new bike model for Niner, with a combination of static close-up shots of the bike and unique paint, mixed with action shots of a rider.

I had a lot of fun making this "behind the scenes" video of my own photo workflow. I wanted to create a cinematic look at my process, equipment, and studio, while integrating some custom sound design and advanced techniques.

Niner Bikes x Fat Tire Ale // Teaser Collab Video

Super fun collaboration video with New Belgium's Fat Tire Ale and Niner Bikes. This was intended to be a teaser video for a longer New Belgium x Niner piece. The goal here was simply to evoke the camaraderie and fun of riding bikes with a friend and enjoying a post-ride beer.

Product video for a new bike repair stand, with voiceover of the product features. Shot both in-studio and outdoors at scenic mountain area.

A short multi-functional video (explainer/ad/product) created for a client's new product. Multiple shoots were combined, from outdoor lifestyle/action, studio demo, and studio macro work done with a motion control setup.

American Classic // Vulcanite Tires

The client was breaking back into the US bicycle tire market with several new mountain bike tires and wanted product videos demonstrating the tires and their specs.

An action product video created from lifestyle riding shots combined with static glamour shots of the bike from a previous shoot.

A short social media reel/ad created out of still photographs I created and embellished with changing ambient sound effect, for a subtle feel.

By combining static b-roll of the bike itself, mixed with outdoor riding shots, I created an effective, yet simple, product video for use on social media and the client's website.

Cinemagraphs are a unique and creative way to add never-ending motion to an otherwise static image.

Dispatch Custom Cycling Components

This animated GIF was created as a quick creative asset for the client to use for advertising. This product image is part of a larger collection of template photos I created for the client, where they are able to change the artwork and colors to easily create custom product mockups on the fly.

Inside the Nine is a YouTube video series created with the client, where I combine lifestyle/action shots of the bikes outdoors with an in-studio host talking about the product features.

This style of "explainer" video is used extensively by the client for all of their products. It works well to demonstrate how to use and service a product, without words or text that would need translated into multiple languages for their global customer support needs.
